The housEvolve Garage Door Controller makes this possible. Use it with a housEvolve Main Controller and not only will you be able to find out if the door is open or closed, but you can even close or open it, right from your phone!

The housEvolve Garage Door Controller provides remote access to your garage door through the phone or locally via the Main Controller interface or included keypad. It can work with or without a wireless garage door opener.

This unit reports current door status (open or closed), both locally and remotely by phone. The remote door activation capability provides complete control over the garage door at all times, facilitating everything from deliveries and house calls to actual emergencies.
