The Sensaphone IMS-1000 system is the newest internet-enabled addition to the Sensaphone IMS series of products. Up to eight external sensors can be connected to the IMS-1000 to monitor a variety of environmental conditions. An alarm condition is generated whenever any environmental sensor goes out of range. The IMS-1000 will then initiate its alarm notification process following the programmed list of people to be notified. E-mails can be sent describing the alarm condition. If network (IP) cameras are installed, the e-mails can even contain one or more attached images captured from the video camera.

The voice feature of this unit provides additional options for alarm delivery. Custom messages can be recorded and stored in the IMS-1000, and voice phone calls can be made to announce alarm conditions. In addition to the convenience of the voice phone call, the voice capability also provides an alarm delivery path independent of the computer network. In the case of network failures, or e-mail servers going offline, the phone call may be the only path available to provide notification.

A non-voice version of the IMS-1000 is available should you not have a need for voice alarm calls or voice status reports (see p/n IMS-1001).

The IMS-1000 is completely standalone with its own internal battery backup system, and it can alert you when the AC power has failed.

Programming is done through an easy-to-use web interface, and sensors are automatically identified by the unit for even further ease-of-installation.
