Overview

the SkylinkHome ID-318 Wireless Motion Sensor is a great way to save money on energy while adding the convenience of automatic lighting control. This motion sensor will activate a receiver module, up to 500 feet away, turning on the connected lights when motion is detected. The receiver module must be programmed to the motion sensor in order for the sensor to have control over the receiver. Multiple receivers can be programmed to be controlled from the same sensor. The adjustable countdown timer will allow you to predetermine how long the lights should stay on once motion has stopped. Automated or motion activated lighting is an ideal home improvement for energy savings in areas with low foot traffic. The built in photo cell will also help in energy savings by only allowing the lights to turn on when the ambient light level is dark enough for the light to be needed. The ID-318 is powered by one 9 volt battery, or 9 volt battery eliminator.

The SkylinkHome System comprises a variety of wireless sensors, wireless remotes, wire-in and plug-in lighting or appliance controls. All wireless communication between SkylinkHome devices is based on rolling code technology. This ensures the highest security for your wireless signals being transmitted. A Deluxe Remote is needed for "Zone" programming of any SkylinkHome receiving device.

Note: During installation of this motion sensor be sure to avoid locations near heat or cold producing devices (i.e. A/C or furnace vents, fans, ovens, space heaters, etc), and avoid pointing it toward moving objects like a window curtain. Air movement, especially caused by changes in temperature may trigger the Motion Sensor. Please carefully test your Motion Sensor so that it will only be triggered by wanted movement.
